Within the framework of this course, the aerodynamic characteristics of cars and trucks, the correlation between the aerodynamic characteristics of a car and its dynamics, and the aerodynamics of individual car parts will be considered. Much attention is paid to engineering methods for calculating the aerodynamic characteristics of a car and its individual components. A separate lesson is devoted to the history of the development of automobile aerodynamics and some of the most successful automobiles from an aerodynamic point of view, as well as to the study of the characteristics of automobile configurations in wind tunnels. A set of test and individual tasks will allow you to master practical skills in calculating the aerodynamic characteristics of a car to a first approximation based on empirical formulas.
